Having the power to read minds, Park Soo Ha reads the minds of his classmates who are about to bully another female classmate, and he stands up for her. He thinks back to the memory of his father being beaten to death after a car accident when he was little. Since then, he gained the power to read minds by looking into people's eyes. During an interview for a public defender position, Jang Hye Sung tells the judge that when she was arguing with Seo Do Yeon, they witnessed the tragedy of Soo Ha's father. Min Joon Gook, who will soon be released from prison and Soo Ha both know that Hye Sung has become a public defender. Cha Gwan Woo is upset about Hye Sung's criticisms, and he decides to watch her performance at the court. Hye Sung believes Soo Ha when he is able to read Sung Bin's thoughts. She argues that the defendant is not guilty. Do Yeon requests to let the victim take the stand. Dong Hee says Sung Bin pushed her. Hye Sung asks Shin Sang Deok for help, but he does not want to listen and leaves, which makes Hye Sung very angry. Gwan Woo and Hye Sung dress up as students to look for clues at the school. Do Yeon tells Hye Sung that she has evidence from the twins' case. Hye Sung decides to get help from Soo Ha. In a hurry, Soo Ha goes to find Hye Sung, but he sees that Hye Sung and Gwan Woo are close on the balcony. Soo Ha is hurt. Hye Sung defeats Do Yeon, and she thanks Soo Ha for his help. But Soo Ha can see that Hye Sung likes him. A tumor is found in Dal Joong's brain. He is sent to jail again because he stabbed someone. He tearfully tells Sang Deok that his wife is still alive. In order to get rid of Joon Gook, Soo Ha asks Hye Sung to move out. Soo Ha apologises to Hye Sung and promises that he will never attempt to read her mind. Dal Joong tells Sang Deok that he wants to find his daughter and do a DNA test to prove his relationship with his wife. Attacked by Joon Gook, Gwan Woo's arm is injured, and Hye Sung goes to visit him. Soo Ha can read that Gwan Woo knows the relationship between Joon Gook and his father. Gwan Woo tells him that Hye Sung has known about the relationship between Joon Gook and his father, as well as the news that Joon Gook had sent to her. Soo Ha scolds Gwan Woo. Soo Ha receives a letter from the prosecutor's office, charging him with attempted murder. Hye Sung urges Soo Ha not to plead guilty because he will not be able to join the police force if he admits. Hye Sung finds Soo Ha's diary, where Soo Ha wrote about Hye Sung. Gwan Woo urges Do Yeon to suspend the prosecution charge.
