Episode 1: City Hunter Episode 1
Because of North Korea assassination attempt against the South Korean President, South Korea plans a counterattack by sending soldiers to kill some North Korean general. Later, South Korea kills its own soldiers that were sent, due to being afraid that the Korean Peninsula Agreement will be annulled. 17 years later, Jin Pyo, the only surviving soldier, is now a ruthless drug lord living in the Golden Triangle. He raised Yoon Sun, Mu Yeol's son, to be a skilled soldier. Episode 2: City Hunter Episode 2
Yoon Sung is living in Seoul with a new identity where he meets Na Na, who is working multiple jobs to pay for her father's hospital bill. Yoon Sung takes care of Na Na's father bill, but she insists on paying him back. Yoon Sung and Na Na both start working in the blue house. Na Na is assigned to guard the President's daughter, and Yoon Sung assigned to be part of the communications team. Na Na signs a contract Yoon Sung made to pay her debt back by driving for him 200 times. Yoon Sung and Na Na get to know each other, and Yoon Sung is given the first target for revenge, Senator Lee. Episode 3: City Hunter Episode 3
At the welfare building, Yoon Sung manages to take pictures of the register for the food assistance program by starting a fire and causing chaos. Yoon Sung sends the evidence to prosecutor Young Ju. But Lee Kyung Wan walks free after Young Ju fails to obtain the agreement of the National Assembly. Bae Shik Joong comes back to Korea, and with his help, Yoon Sung goes to see Lee Kyung Wan, take a video of Lee Kyung Wan while admitting his crimes, and expose it everywhere. Citizens start calling Yoon Sung the 'City Hunter' because he delivered Lee Kyung Wan after he trying escape to Young Ju. Later, Bae Shik Joong helps Yoon Sung find his mother, but at first, Yoon Sung refuses to see her thinking she abandoned him. Yoon Sung later goes to see her, he sees her being asked to meet someone in a car. It was the president, but Yoon Sung doesn't see his face. He then turns around to find Jin Pyo standing behind him. Episode 4: City Hunter Episode 4
The president asks Yoon Sung's mother if she knew anything about Jin Pyo. He then realizes that she knows nothing and that he’s done nothing but open up old wounds for her. Jin Pyo suggests to Yoon Sung that the one who finds the next subject first decides how to take revenge. He then recruits Kim Sang Gook, a cop who happens to be the younger brother of one of the soldiers who died. Later, Na Na's apartment is sold in a public auction, and she also gets tasked to Seo Yong Hak’s office, because he’s a front-runner to be the next presidential candidate. Jin Pyo finds the next target Seo Yong Hak, who was dining with his family. While Jin Pyo was trying to kill the target, Yoon Sung shuts the power and causing Jin Pyo to almost kill Na Na. Episode 5: City Hunter Episode 5
Yoon Sung saves Jin Pyo before the SWAT team catches him, and asks Jin Pyo to help him instead of killing the targets. Jin Pyo agrees to help Yoon Sung because they share the same goal. Na Na doesn't know it was Yoon Sung who saved her from being shot and is still angry at him. Bae Shik Joong buys Na Na's apartment. Yoom Sung keeps getting jealous of Prosecutor Kim Young Joo. Na Na asks prosecutor Young Joo to re-investigate an incident that happened to her family because of Kim Jong Shik (Young Joo's father). Yoon Sung bonds with Ki Joon and Na Na start thinking that Yoon Sung is the one who saved her. Chun’s Right-Hand Man breaks into Na Na's house when suddenly Na Na and Yoon Sung come back. Episode 6: City Hunter Episode 6
Na Na refuses to stay in her apartment after knowing that Yoon Sung bought it. Prosecutor Kim starts investigating the bus hijacker. Na Na packs her clothes and stays with her father at the hospital. When a crazed supporter rushes the crowd in agitation while Na Na is guarding Seo Yong Hak, she mistakes him for an attacker and slams him to the ground, causing Yong Hak to get angry at her. Yoon Sung and Na Na start living together. Yoon Sung follows Lee Kyung Wan and Hudson in a hotel and watches their conversation with a hidden camera. Soo Hee accidentally spilled alcohol on Yoon Sung, and they went to Yoon Sung's room to get his clothes dry cleaned. Na Na, accidentally knocks on Yoon Sung's door and sees Yoon Sung with Soo Hee. Episode 7: City Hunter Episode 7
Na Na ignores Yoon Sung after seeing him in the hotel room with Soo Hee. Prosecutor Kim visits Jin Pyo to confirm his suspicions. Yoon Sung explains to Na Na what happened at the hotel. They then visit Yoon Sung's mother, to find her really sick, Yoon Sung carries his mother to her home. Jin Pyo visits Yoon Sung's mom. Because of the president's request, Yoon Sung started teaching the president's daughter. Yoon Sung submitted a military enrollment form for all three sons of Seo Yong Hak. Episode 8: City Hunter Episode 8
Na Na shoots Yoon Song on the back of his shoulder. Soo Hee helps Yoon Sung after finding him in her veterinary clinic trying to treat himself. She gave him prosecutor Kim's clothes, which made Young Joo mad when he saw it. Jin Pyo gives Yoon Sung his last chance, and Yoon Sung decides to infiltrate the live-broadcast debut. Na Na gets a probation after leaving while on-duty and the president's daughter got into a fight. Na Na then spends the night in Yoon Sung's house. But on the day of the plan, the director lifts Na Na's probation. Yoon Sung plays the clip from the hotel on TV and causes Yong Hak to hold Na Na as a hostage. Episode 9: City Hunter Episode 9
Jin Pyo catches Candidate Seo, and takes him as a hostage and demanding to know the names of the others involved in the incident, he tells them their next target is Kim Jong Shik, prosecutor's Kim father. Yoon Sung uses a sleeping gas before Jin Pyo could kill Candidate Seo, and delivers Candidate Seo to Prosecutor Kim. Jin Pyo furious about what happened beats Shik Joong. Yoon Sung tells Jin Pyo that he doesn't care if he starts a war with him, and he will protect whom he cared for. Yoon Sung decides to move out of Na Na's apartment to protect her, he goes to see her and kiss her. Na Na is suspended and may lose her job after the incident. Jin Pyo visits Na Na, and he realizes that Yoon Sung loves her. Prosecutor Kim and Na Na realizes that city hunter is Yoon Sung. Yoon Sung packs and leaves Na Na's house. Episode 10: City Hunter Episode 10
Prosecutor Kim follows Yoon Sung after seeing him in the hospital, he then sees Yoon Sung go to Jin Pyo's house. Yoon Sung meets Na Na to ask about the file, she tells him she wants the City Hunter to catch Jong Shik and delivers him to Prosecutor Kim. Shik Joong tells Yoon Sung that Kim Jong Shik blackmailed him into changing his testimony about Na Na's parent's car accident. Na Na gets her job back and tells Yoon Sung that she likes him. Yoon Sung then tries to push her away. Na Na finds out that Kyung Hee is Yoon Sung's mother. Yoon Sung tries to help his leukemia diagnosed mother by testing to see if they are compatible with bone marrow donation. Jin Pyo forbids Yoon Sung from doing the blood test because Prosecutor Kim is trying to take a sample from his blood, but Yoon Sung does it, and prosecutor Kim takes the blood sample. Episode 11: City Hunter Episode 11
Na Na rescues Yoon Sung in the National Forensic Service, just seconds before being discovered by Prosecutor Kim. Yoon Sung finds out that Na Na knows about his true identity and tells her to forget him. Jin Pyo tells Yoon Sung if his true identity is found Na Na will die. Yoon Sung resigns from his work and kicks Na Na out of her house. Prosecutor Kim visits Yoon Sung's mother and asks about what happened to her husband. Jin Pyo lies to Yoon Sung's mother and tells her that her son is dead, she then runs away from the hospital. Jin Pyo tells Yoon Sung if he doesn't kill Jong Shik he will kill his mother. Shik Joong sends Na Na his affidavit and she asks prosecutor Kim to re-investigate the incident. Na Na and Shik Joong were kidnapped by Jong Shik, but Yoon Sung saves them and finds the missing cash in a hidden room in Jong Shik's mansion. Episode 12: City Hunter Episode 12
Na Na is taking to Soo Hee clinic, and Yoon Sung donates his blood to save her, she is the taken to Yoon Sung's house to hide there. Yoon Sung finds out that Jin Pyo doesn't have his mother, and also that he was stolen from his mother, instead of being abandoned. Na Na tells Yoon Sung she will join him in exposing Jong Shik. Ki Joon, Eun Ah, and the IT chief visit Yoon Sung's house to convince him to return to work. Jin Pyo plans to steal the money when it is being moved, and then send it to prosecutor Kim. Jong Shik is implanted with a wiretapping device in his tooth implant by Yoon Sung. Prosecutor Kim Finds out about the stolen money and confronts his father. Episode 13: City Hunter Episode 13
Yoon Sung saves Na Na from being shot by Jin Pyo. They then go to install a camera in Jong Shik's office. Prosecutor Kim is removed from the City Hunter because of his father's case, furious about that he goes to his father's office, but Yoon Sun is there too. Na Na saves Yoon Sung before being discovered by prosecutor Kim. Prosecutor Kim starts investigating the city hunter's case alone. Yoon Sung notices the trick prosecutor Kim is trying to pull on him and escapes before being caught. Shik Joong finds Yoon Sung's mother location and leaves Yoon Sung's number. Shik Joong almost dies when Jong Shik car hits him. Yoon Sung plays the video recorded in Jong Shik's office in prosecutor's Kim award ceremony. He then kidnappers Jong Shik, but Jong Shik tries to run. Jong Shik then slips and is only handing on the railing of a bridge. Episode 14: City Hunter Episode 14
Turns out that Jin Pyo is the one who used the car to hit Shik Joong. Yoon Sung stabs his own hand to prove to Jin Pyo, that Jin Pyo cares for no one but Yoon Sung. Jong Shik isn't dead but is in a coma, and prosecutor Kim vows to Yoon Sung that he will catch him himself. Na Na visits Jin Pyo and asks him to stop dragging Yoon Sung in his revenge plan. Chun Jae Man is the fourth target. Chun reveals that the dog tags sent in by the City Hunter belonged to special agents, but describes them as traitors who were fleeing after stealing national secrets. Yoon Sung finally meets his mother as her son. Jin Pyo visits Chun as an investor. Chun orders his man to get rid of prosecutor Kim, and he buys the incident file and burns it. Episode 15: City Hunter Episode 15
Yoon Sung rescues Young Joo from being gassed to death and pulls him out of the car in time just as he's lost consciousness. Turns out that Jin Pyo bought the original copy of the incident file, while company president Chun had a copy. Shik Joong comes back from the hospital. Yoon Sung and Na Na meet a little kid called Yoon Shik in the hospital, his mother also suffers leukemia which she got while working at a company called Hae Won Chemicals, a subsidiary of Hae won Group, owned by Chun. Yoon Sung's mother gives Yoon Sung a ring his father gave to her and asks him to give it to Na Na. Prosecutor Kim sees Na Na with Yoon Sung and thinks she is working with him. Company president Chun threatens the sick mother to write a note that it is not their company's fault. Yoon Sung successfully donates to his mother. Yoon Sung takes samples from Hae Won Chemicals. Episode 16: City Hunter Episode 16
Yoon Sung tells Na Na that he likes her, but they should ignore each other. Chairman Cheon's henchman, brings the contract for Kim Yoon Shik's mother to sign and forces her. With this final signature, the waste violation case is over, but Yoon Sung goes to help the protesters that were being attacked by Chairman Chun's men and takes the contract. Na Na is promoted to guard the president. Na Na tells Yoon Sung that she would wait for him until he finishes his job if he answers or she would not accept him later if he comes back to her, but he just leaves. NIS employee tells Prosecutor Kim that the file is with Chun Jae Man and Jin Pyo. Sang Gook calls Yoon Sung to tip him off about Jin Pyo possessing the confidential file. Episode 17: City Hunter Episode 17
Chairman Chun thinks Jin Pyo is the City hunter, and tells him that he has the only incident file while pretending not to know about Jin Pyo real intention, he also offers the CEO position to him, so he would take the blame for the waste violation case. Jin Pyo attends the president's lunch party, and a paint ball was shot toward the president but Na Na jumps in front of it. Yoon Sung's mother remember Chairman Chun asking her to get rid of her fetus to protect President Choi, and it turns out that Yoon Sung is actually the President's son. Prosecutor Kim gets demoted, but is save by the president. Prosecutor Kim find knocked out men in Hae Won anti-aging center, and rushes to the blue house to check if Yoon Sung is there, but Yoon Sung arrives shorty after prosecutor Kim. Yoon Sung tries to leave to save Jin Pyo, but prosecutor Kim tells him if he leave now he is admitting to being the City Hunter. Jin Pyo was almost killed by Chairman Chun men before Yoon Sung came to his rescue.
Episode 18: City Hunter Episode 18
Jin Pyo is saved by Yoon Sung and is taken to the hospital. Doo Shik figures out that Yoon Sung is City Hunter and kidnapped Na Na and throw her in an aquarium tank, but she is save yet again by Yoon Sung, and he tells her to wait for him. He then took Doo Shik to his house. Hae Won falls into initial bankruptcy, with all its smaller subsidiaries on the brink of failure as well. Chun Jae Man tries to rustle up the necessary funds to stop the bankruptcy, which he must secure by the end of the workday. Chun falls to his knees and begs for rescue, offering up the confidential book he’d stolen from Jin Pyo in exchange, but to no avail. Hae Won Group misses its deadline, and bankruptcy is declared. Yoon Sung buys Hae Won chemical for only 100 won. Yoon Sung catch chairman Chun before leaving the country and delivers him to prosecutor Kim. But prosecutor Kim follows him and removes his mask.
Episode 19: City Hunter Episode 19
Prosecutor Kim tell Yoon Sung to escape before the police come, and chairman Chun also escapes. Chairman Chun threatens the president, by telling him if he doesn't help him he will reveal that the president had an illegitimate child from a bar hostess. The president asks Na Na where Kyung Hee is but she refused to tell him. Yoon Sung finds out that he is the president's son and Chairman Chun threatened his mom to disappear, because it could have ruined Eung Chan's life. And he also finds out that Jin Pyo already knew about it, but was using him. Sae Hee is tied up by Chairman Chun, and the classified file is taken. Prosecutor Kim goes to retrieve the file because of Jin Pyo's message telling him where it is. Yoon Sung also heads out there and finds out the place of the file from Young Joo's message, and takes it before it is destroyed. Chun's men hit Young Joo on the head and he tells Yoon Sung to relieve what is in the file and asks for his father's forgiveness before passing out.
Episode 20: City Hunter Episode 20
Young Joo is dead and his father wakes up from his coma. Jin Pyo kills Chun Jae Man. Yoon Sung reads the file and finds out that his father, President Choi, is the last target. Seo Yong Hak lies and says that the president is the one who planned the sweep mission. Pil Jae, Young Joo's subordinate, gets angry when Yoon Sung comes to the funeral, saying it is all his fault because he is the City Hunter and vows to catch him. Pil Jae tells the president that Yoon Sung is Kyung Hee son. Because Yoon Sung sent copies of the confidential file to media outlets, the president was impeached. Jin Pyo heads to kill the president but finds Yoon Sung waiting for him. Jin Pyo shoots the president, but Yoon Sung jumps in front of the bullet, Na Na then shoots Jin Pyo. Jin Pyo lies and says he is the City Hunter, before being killed by the bodyguards. Time pass by, Yoon Sung is still alive, Na Na's father is dead, Ki Joon and Eun Ah are getting married, and a memorial was built for the dead soldiers.
