Terms of Service

1. Personal use and ownership

You may browse for personal, non-commercial use, use accessibility tools and share links to our pages. Necessary browser caching is allowed. Our original text, design, software and protected selection, arrangement and databases remain ours or our licensors’. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Public access does not grant a reuse licence.

2. No copying, scraping or AI reuse

Except as expressly permitted below, by applicable law or by our prior written permission, you must not, directly or through another person, bot or service:

• Copy, scrape, harvest, download in bulk or extract our content or databases, including repeated extraction of small portions.
• Rewrite, paraphrase, translate, summarise or otherwise adapt our content using AI or other means to republish it, build a competing or substitute service, or recreate our website or catalogue. Changing the wording or giving credit does not grant permission.
• Use our content as AI prompts or inputs, training, fine-tuning or evaluation data, datasets, embeddings, or retrieval/grounding material for an AI system.
• Republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense, syndicate, mirror, proxy, frame, hotlink or otherwise host or serve our content on another website, app, API or service.
• Bypass access controls or rate limits, disguise automated access as an authorised crawler, remove rights notices, or disrupt the site.

3. Limited search-engine permission

Google, Bing and other public search engines using search crawlers expressly allowed in our robots.txt may crawl public pages, maintain search indexes, rank and link to them, and display titles, thumbnails and brief attributed excerpts in search results, including AI-assisted search results. This permission is solely for helping users discover and visit MyDramaDB; it does not allow full-page republication, substitute copies, resale of our content or general-purpose AI model training. Respect our crawler instructions and keep links to the original pages. A crawler allowance is not a broader content licence.

4. Rights reservation and legal exceptions

We expressly reserve text and data mining rights, including under Article 4(3) of EU Directive 2019/790 where applicable, except for the limited search permission above. Our machine-readable reservations accompany these Terms. These restrictions apply only to rights we may lawfully control. Third-party works remain their owners’ property and any applicable third-party or open licence prevails for that material. We do not claim ownership of facts or public-domain material. Nothing here excludes non-waivable legal exceptions, including applicable quotation, fair use/fair dealing or statutory research rights, or restricts your own content and lawful account exports.

5. Service and enforcement

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”; information may be incomplete or inaccurate, and external services have their own terms. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or mandatory consumer rights. We may restrict access for misuse and seek removal, injunctions, damages and recoverable costs where legally available. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver; an unenforceable provision does not invalidate the others.
