Transparent by design

Catalog facts stay linked to their sources.

MyDramaDB retains the current source record, timestamp, fingerprint, attribution and merge decision instead of presenting canonical data without provenance. The visible catalog prefers canonical PostgreSQL data, refreshes current schedules from TVMaze, and keeps a dated local fallback.

Responsible collection

Automated collection uses the open-source Crawlee framework with strict allowlists, timeouts, response-size limits, source-specific concurrency, robots and terms review, and reproducible fingerprints. A challenge page, CAPTCHA, or access denial quarantines that source for review; it is not treated as permission to evade the control.

Conflict handling

Reviewed, fresher sources can correct mutable catalog fields while slower sources fill gaps. The retained source payload and merge decision remain auditable; append-only field history is a future extension and is not claimed here. Automated entity matches below the confidence threshold wait for human review rather than creating duplicate shows or people.
