Park Sun Woo works as an anchorman at a TV broadcasting station. He is in love with news reporter Joo Min Young, who is bright and honest. Park Sun Woo then obtains 9 incense items, which allows him to go back 20 years in time. Sun Woo travels to the past in an attempt to keep his family safe in order to change the world he lives in today. Episode 1: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 1
Anchorman Park Sun Woo heads to Nepal to identify the body of his dead older brother, who's been on an adventure to help restore their family's happiness.
Episode 2: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 2
Min Young learns of Seon Woo's illness and reacts with anger while the station is turned upside down after Seon Woo's interview with Choi Jin Cheol. Seon Woo's housekeeper finds a strange "beeper" in his closet which goes off, displaying a number that is out of service. He uses the incense to find the owner and is surprised by who answers the phone.
Episode 3: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 3
Seon Woo finds the owner of the "beeper" and realizes he has traveled back to 1992 and has met his younger self. He starts to investigate and finds that his brother had stumbled upon a way to travel back in time. He returns to Nepal to find the incense that his brother was looking for.
Episode 4: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 4
Seon Woo confides in his best friend and proves to him that he has been able to travel through time. He begins to learn more about his brother and starts to change the things that his brother set out to.
Episode 5: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 5
As his health deteriorates, Seon Woo starts to realize the consequences of what he's done and finds it difficult to live with the alternate results.
Episode 6: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 6
Seon Woo sees that even though the circumstances have changed, his brother is still the same. He also realizes that his health's deterioration is accelerated by his going back in time but he wants to try anyway to right the wrongs that have happened to his family. He doesn't take Choi Jin Cheol's threats seriously and fires back a few of his own. He gathers what he needs to find evidence before he lights the 5th stick.
Episode 7: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 7
Seon Woo arrives at his old bedroom to see his 18 year old self asleep. He awakes him, trying to convince him that their father is in danger and that he's from the future. Young Seon Woo freaks out but the result is the same, convincing their father to leave the hospital. Seon Woo returns to the present only to learn that his father's death was only delayed. He suddenly recalls seeing his brother in the security cameras he had set up in his father's office.
Episode 8: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 8
Seon Woo learns the true details surrounding his father's death and the reality shatters his world. He attacks his bother in anger, blaming him for ruining his life after learning a secret that should never have been revealed. He does not however let up on Choi Jin Cheol as he is still the mastermind. Meanwhile, his health continues to deteriorate as those around him try to figure out what's going on with him.
Episode 9: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 9
Seon Woo leaves the incense so that it would burn in the hospital fire as his health continues to deteriorate. Young Seon Woo sends Young Hoon to meet his future self since he cannot, putting together the pieces once Young Hoon is stood up. Present Seon Woo's life is now in Young Hoon's hands, both the current and former versions of his best friend working to save him.
Episode 10: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 10
The circumstances changed and Seon Woo is no longer on his death bed though he still feels the headaches as if he still had the tumor, and his heart aches still for Min Young. Her fiancé discovers a note she wrote to Seon Woo in Nepal which prompts her to start recovering memories of her time with Seon Woo. Seon Woo calls her crazy and dismisses her pleas for answers as his heart breaks. Meanwhile, young Seon Woo continues to wonder about his future self.
Episode 11: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 11
Min Young recovers her memories of her relationship with Seon Woo, but as they are now related, he pushes her away. He provides an alibi for her fiancé, but she can't let it go, and pleads for him to save her. He finds her at the spot where their relationship started and once he sees her, can no longer resist.
Episode 12: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 12
As Min Young recovers at his home, he discovers that young Seon Woo has sent the incense back to him through time. He confesses to his brother that Min Young is his "wife" and explains the circumstances surrounding their altered fates. He gives his brother time to think it over and Jeong Woo gives him the go ahead to go back and finish what was started, no matter the consequences for him, but Seon Woo doesn't anticipate what danger may arise when he arrives again in 1992.
Episode 13: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 13
Seon Woo returns to 1992 in order to convince young Jeong Woo to turn himself in. He brings with him the video recording of Choi Jin Cheol's thug starting the fire. Jeong Woo has been briefed on Seon Woo being the enemy by Choi Jin Cheol and has advised to contact him once he sights him. Seon Woo learns of this and tries to run. He finds a phonebooth and calls Jeong Woo but is caught by the thug. He fights as hard as he can, determined for Jeong Woo to hear him out.
Episode 14: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 14
Seon Woo is found in his dressing room with a stab wound, prompting people to wonder if Choi Jin Cheol was the culprit. Min Young's fiancé realizes who she really loves and attacks Seon Woo beside his hospital bed. This spins everyone at the station into a web of speculation as both Seon Woo and Min Young hand in their resignations. Seon Woo gives Min Young the choice to decide the status of their relationship, however neither truly can accept her decision.
Episode 15: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 15
After drowning himself in alcohol for week, Seon Woo learns that his brother is missing. He arrives at the hospital, wound bleeding, to find his brother has just tried to commit suicide. Choi Jin Cheol's thug is arrested after finding 20 year old DNA inside of Seon Woo's wound which sets Choi Jin Cheol out on a hunt for answers.
Episode 16: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 16
Choi Jin Cheol learns about the incense and due to past events, the incense changes hands from Seon Woo to him. He successfully lights one to go back in time. Seon Woo stops him and returns him to the present, but not before Jin Cheol was able to accomplish what he set out to.
Episode 17: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 17
Seon Woo is able to shake off Choi Jin Cheol's minions and finds a safe place to park where he lights the incense. He returns to younger Jin Cheol's office first to find where young Seon Woo is being attacked. He makes it just in time before the thug kills Seon Woo and sends him to the police station with the evidence. He gives young Jeon Woo one last chance to make things right and it seems to work.
Episode 18: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 18
Young Jeong Woo turns himself in and time immediately changes. Everyone is put back into their proper places and Min Young finds herself wearing a wedding dress in anticipation of her wedding to Seon Woo. The wedding should start at noon, however Seon Woo is missing. He finds himself still stuck in 1993 and in danger.
Episode 19: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 19
The wedding is delayed while they look for the groom, only to find Seon Woo's deserted car. Jung Woo and Young Hoon find that he never returned from the past and Jeong Woo learns the culprit to be Choi Jin Cheol who also meets his demise after learning he has a son. Min Young suddenly recalls a memory of the strange ajusshi who helped her mother, and through the flashback learns what happened to Seon Woo.
Episode 20: Nine: Nine Times Time Travel Episode 20
Through flashbacks, the final episode explains the history between Min Young and Seon Woo, from their meeting up to his flight to Nepal. Seon Woo wonders if he can change his fate or if this just how his life is supposed to be.
