They hit another dead end with another dead body. Chu Ran goes to interview Jiang Yue Lou and reveals information about someone setting him up. They find Wang Meng from the opium gang.

The police try to get Wang Meng to confess in exchange for treating his mom. Wang Meng escapes and takes the doctor with him. Yu Tang Chun learns how to shoot. Chu Ran's article to exonerate Jiang Yue Lou is published in the paper.

Wang Meng devises a plan to get revenge. Jiang Yue Lou gets there in time to save Chen Yu Zhi. There is a refugee problem that needs to be dealt with in the city.

Episode 17: Killer and Healer Episode 17

Chen Yu Zhi decides to set up an event for people to donate money to the school. Jiang Yue Lou is in charge of helping the refugees and is forced to give them money instead of his ideal solution of setting up food stations. Jiang Yue Lou finds something fishy regarding the plan to give the refugees money. Jiang Yue Lou kills a person in front of the police station and gets arrested.

Chen Yu Zhi discuss the plan to help Jiang Yue Lou. They investigate the man killed by Jiang Yue Lou. Chu Ran gets mistaken as Zhan Jun Bai's girlfriend.

The mysterious mastermind blackmails Mr. Bai's wife to get secret police information.

The minister is assassinated in front of the police. Jiang Yue Lou is the prime suspect so he decides to lure out the real killer. Chen Yu Zhi goes undercover as a reporter to support Jiang Yue Lou. The real killer escapes from the courtroom.

They catch the mole at the police station. The blackmailed Mrs. Bai reveals more police secrets, leading to another trap for the police. The mysterious woman almost kills Jiang Yue Lou, but gets captured instead.
