High school graduate Gong Xi gives up her chances to go to university in order to support her childhood friend and romantic goal, Bu Po Shang, in his pop idol career. Upon arriving in Taipei, Gong Xi starts working on multiple jobs in order to support Bu Po Shang, whose popularity quickly rises, eventually becoming one of the top idols in Taiwan. One day, Gong Xi catches Bu Po Shang flirting with his manager and learns that he only used her so she can help him with his living expenses. Heartbroken and betrayed, Gong Xi vows to get revenge by becoming a bigger star than him. Gong Xi auditions for L.M.E., Bu Po Shang's rival talent agency, and joins L.M.E.'s new-found department, "Love Me". Gong Xi struggles to understand her character in her new drama, Dark Moon. After having nearly been thrown off set because her lack of understanding for the character, she has an epiphany and takes off only to return with an unusual interpretation of the character and sway the rest of the cast.
Episode 13: Skip Beat! Episode 13
Lian is having trouble pulling off emotion in his romance scenes for Dark Moon. As he continues to struggle with it the director gives him time off to find his character. Gong Xi wants to help him as much as she can so she hides in the chicken costume again and listens to Lian talk about what's bothering him and finds out that he's never been in love before. After giving him clues and hints Lian finally realizes that he's starting to fall for Gong Xi.
Episode 14: Skip Beat! Episode 14
Lian finally begins to understand he can't control his emotions for Gong Xi. As he starts to find his character for Jia Yue he has Gong Xi come over and improvise a scene with him. Almost giving into his emotions Lian backs out. Gong Xi believes that he was just into his character, Jia Yue. The President finds out about Lian's "handicap" and states that if he can't get into his character this time then he must quit showbiz.
Episode 15: Skip Beat! Episode 15
Lian finally finds his version of Jia Yue. The drama proceeds and finishes filming, debuting with top ratings. Lian still struggles with his feelings for Gong Xi and the President mentions how his father was the actor who played the original Jia Yue. Gong Xi also struggles with her own feelings for Lian - and she's no longer acting out of revenge but because it's what she really wants to do. The two of them meet in her hometown.
