Episode 1: I Am Nobody Episode 1
Zhang Chu Lan, a passive college student, meets a mysterious woman, Feng Bao Bao, when his grandfather’s body is stolen from his grave. She proclaims herself his master, knowing he has hidden internal power that he refuses to use even when in danger. Wang Ye experiences an otherworldly premonition of bloodshed on a train with Chu Lan in the year of Jiashen. Chu Lan is kidnapped and taken to Sinister Pleasure so Lv Liang can extract memories of his grandfather. A fight ensues when Bao Bao and Xu San try to get him back. Chu Lan learns about the NDT organization that, counter to Sinister Pleasure, tries to maintain the balance between ordinary people and the Outsiders, who possess superpowers. Growing up, Chu Lan’s grandfather drilled into him that he was not allowed to show his martial arts and superpowers to anyone unless he was in danger. The Sinister Pleasure returns his grandfather’s remains, but not only exposes him to the Outsiders but also implicates his grandfather as the murderer of 10 Outsiders. Chu Lan and Ling Yu battle it out, and after passing Ling Yu’s test, Chu Lan is invited to attend Mount Longhu’s Outsider Martial Arts contest. Bao Bao’s methods for training Chu Lan for the contest push him to the brink, and he decides to leave her to preserve his dignity. After leaving Bao Bao, Chu Lan is picked up by the All-Encompassing Guild, who are trying to recruit him into their organization. He meets Feng Sha Yan, the daughter of the Guild master, Feng Zheng Hao. Bao Bao looks for Chu Lan to apologize. Xu San and Xu Si arrive at the All-Encompassing Guild to take Bao Bao and Chu Lan back. Chu Lan promised to train hard under Bao Bao after she recovered from her injuries. Wang Ye experiences another phantasmagoric event, but this time, Chu Lan asks Wang Ye to stop him from making the horrible mistake. Chu Lan, Bao Bao, Xu San, and Xu Si travel to Mount Longhu for the contest. Chu Lan meets many Outsiders, including Zhuge Qing and Wang Ye. The contest begins and the first round consists of 4 fighters, where the last person standing goes to the next round. Bao Bao, Zhuge Qing, Wang Ye, and Zhang Ling Yu clear their round easily. Chu Lan resorts to shameless tactics to win his round, but fears the 1-on-1 fight in the next round. Bao Bao tries to stop Chu Lan’s next adversary, but he convinces her not to and battles it out with his adversary the night before. Chu Lan, Bao Bao, Zhuge Qing, and Ling Yu make it to the next round. Lv Liang is able to piece together Chu Lan’s grandfather’s last memory before dying and decides to share this memory with Chu Lan, his goal being to wreak havoc at the Outsider contest. This stirs feelings in Bao Bao that she can’t understand. Chu Lan defeats his next opponent decidedly, using his lightning bolts. In the other dimension, they see all of the Eight Supremes, but one is missing, Duan Mu Ying. After futile attempts to reach this dimension, she finally arrives. She tells Bao Bao who her father was and that the purpose of the Eight Supremes was to give Bao Bao life as she had died previously.
