

Legend of Fu Yao

Adopted as an orphan, Fu Yao served as a slave for the Xuan Yuan sect in the Taiyuan Kingdom. After a series of tragedies, she journeyed across the lands, searching to lift the curse that blighted her life. Along the way, she meets the Crown Prince of Tianquan, Zhang Sun Wu Ji, and falls in love with him. Episode 1: Legend of Fu Yao Episode 1
The story starts off with our main female character, Fuyao fighting THE ice warriors to break into the sacred ground of the sect. Just when she was about to reach her goal, a whip stops her and sends her falling. Pei Yuan shows up to reprimand Fuyao for attempting to learn the kung fu of the sect and say she will have to report it to the sect leader. Fuyao escapes by jumping out the window and down the mountain. At the bottom of the mountain, Fuyao finds da shixiong, Yan Jinchen, and uses him as a shield from the Pei Yuan. Fuyao decides to sneak in to watch the sacrificial ritual of the Xuan Yuan sect. Even though she’s part of Xuan Yuan but her place is with the lowest of the low department of the sect. Those in that department wears a black colored robe and is not allowed to learn any martial art. Fuyao is caught by the department head, uncle Zhou, before she can even sneak in to watch the ritual. The old man yells at her but also cares for her. Instead of punishing her, he sends her off to the bottom of the mountain to buy wine At the kingdom of Taiyuan, the king is shown to be very ill. The prince will ascend the throne soon but the king reminds him that Qi Zhen must be killed in order for him to ascend safely. Qi Zhen has been eyeing the throne for a while now. And as the king predicted, Qi Zhen sets out to murder the royal family. Fuyao is on her way back with wine while Pei Yuan sneakily sets up a trap for her. On her way, she finds an injured man who claimed to be the eldest prince Xuan Yuan Ming and asks her for help. She sneaks him on her cart but the cart flipped when she falls into Pei Yuan’s trap. The prince is mysteriously taken. Da shixiong hears Fuyao’s call for help and rushes to help her as Pei Yuan was about to confess. He tends to Fuyao’s injury and vows to make her happy. They are killing the prince when an order came to stop the plan but the prince was already severely injured by then. Xuan Yuan Ming is sent to Xuan Yuan to be cured by a known healer. Episode 2: Legend of Fu Yao Episode 2
Prime Minister Qi Zhen is forced to keep Prince Xuan Yuan Min alive to keep the Tai Yuan kingdom intact. While getting a medicinal flower to help Xiao Bai, Fu Yao clashes with Wu Ji for the flower. She later discovers that Wu Ji is masquerading as Yuan Min and is hurt to hear the news that her love interest, Jing Chen, is betrothed to Qi Zhen's niece, Pei Yuan. Episode 3: Legend of Fu Yao Episode 3
Wu Ji uses a special move to render the beast, which had escaped from its cage, unconscious. Jing Chen proposes that Fu Yao be his concubine after his marriage to Pei Yuan, who overhears the conversation. In retaliation, Pei Yuan enters Fu Yao in the prestigious Hunting and Fighting Game, which she hopes will get Fu Yao killed, given her measly martial arts. Episode 4: Legend of Fu Yao Episode 4
Fu Yao is successful in the first round of the Hunting and Fighting Game, using the same special move Wu Ji used on the beast. Though she brings honor to her sect, she brings anger and hate from Pei Yuan and Jing Chen's father. Pei Yuan gets Fu Yao in trouble, and her punishment is entering the Emotionless Realm, where no one has ever escaped. Episode 5: Legend of Fu Yao Episode 5
During the second round of the Hunting and Fighting Game, no one wants to pair up with Fu Yao, so Wu Ji assists her. However, their umbrella breaks, and they fall. The stick from uncle Zhou opens a hidden cavern where the unconscious Fu Yao learns a fighting technique. Though Zong Yue heals her physical injuries, she suffers from partial memory loss and continues to practice the sword fighting techniques unconsciously in her sleep, making her tired all day. Episode 6: Legend of Fu Yao Episode 6
Wu Jin hides the final bead from the second round of the Hunting and Fighting Game in Fu Yao's pocket, so she will fight in the third round, which results in Fu Yao combating Jing Chen. Though it's clear Fu Yao won, she voluntarily cedes to Jing Chen. To appease the crowd, Pei Yuan proclaims that Fu Yao used witchcraft on Jing Chen and that clearly Jing Chen is the better fighter. Episode 7: Legend of Fu Yao Episode 7
Uncle Zhou tells Fu Yao her destiny and the story behind Breaking the Nine Clouds tech. He tries to help her escape prison but is unsuccessful. Pei Yuan forces Fu Yao to commit suicide by jumping off the cliff in order to save Xiao Qi and the Mystic Black tribe. Qi Zhen needs the blood of the Xuan Yuan line to enable him to learn the Water Manipulation Technique, but Wu Ji, masquerading as Xuan Yuan Min, disappears. Fu Yao decides to go after Pei Yuan to punish her for crimes committed against Fu Yao and the Mystic Black Tribe. Zhan Nan Cheng, King of Tian Sha, is willing to lend Qi Zhen the Earth Absorbing Bell in exchange for ownership of Mt. Great Vast, an adjacent territory. Prince Lie of Tian Sha is sent to Kun Capital to hand the bell to Qi Zhen. He helps out Fu Yao on the way when she is trapped by illusions in the forest. A mysterious young man shows up at official Zhang's place, claiming to be a descendant of the Xuan Yuan bloodline. Qi Zhen, fearing the young man will become the future King of Tai Yuan, proposes he demonstrates the water technique. The young man is able to stabilize the dome that has protected Tai Yuan for generations and is heralded as the heir apparent. Fu Yao tricks Zhan Bei Ye into allowing Ya Lan into the Tai Yuan capital with them. Zhan Bei Ye tries to drive a wedge between Fu Yao and Ya Lan, but despite this, the two women form a tight bond. Zhan Bei Ye begins to suspect Qi Zhen since he does not seem alarmed to hear the bell has disappeared. Zong Yue's past and lineage are revealed through a series of memories. Zhan Bei Ye discovers that Zhan Nan Cheng and Qi Zhen are colluding, so he sends General Ji back to Tian Sha to protect his mother, Consort Jing. Pei Yuan sees Fu Yao and goes after her for revenge. Pei Yuan has Fu Yao cornered and is about to eliminate her when Wu Ji comes and sustains the stab would from Fu Yao meant for Pei Yuan. He reasons that, given his personal grudge against Fu Yao, he will mete out her punishment, thus promptly leaving. He leaves her with Zhan Bei Ye to care for her and who works with her to save Xiao Qi and retrieve the bell. Episode 14: Legend of Fu Yao Episode 14
Zong Yue meets the King of Tai Yuan, who recognizes him as the eldest son of the previous heir apparent, Prince Wen Yi. He vows that Wen Yi's bloodline will once again rule Tai Yuan before hastening the King's death. Qi Zhen gains the Water Manipulation technique using Xuan Hui's blood and the bell. Fu Yao duels with Pei Yuan with Wu Ji coming to her rescue. She takes Xiao Qi to Zhan Bei Ye to get his help in removing the bell from Xiao Qi spiritual sense without injuring him. She returns to help Wu Ji fight against Fei Yan, who, upon realizing Fu Yao will get hurt, stops the onslaught. Wu Ji credits Fu Yao—masquerading as Yu Wen Zi—for saving his life which triggers much interest in who should be Wu Ji’s concubine as the king of Tai Yuan. Fu Yao is spotted while trying to leave Qi Zhen’s manor. Zong Yue helps her but is injured by Qi Zhen’s poisoned arrow. She delivers the Dragon Scale Armor from Zong Yue to Wu Ji and together they activate it at the Imperial Qilin Stage. Fu Yao asks Ya Lan to help change her back to Yu Wen Zi so she can enter the palace. While preparing medicine for Qi Zhen, Yun Hen notices that Zong Yue is bleeding and becomes suspicious, returning later to Zong Yue’s manor. Though Wu Ji relies on Qi Zhen to make decisions in the court, Qi Zhen is shocked to hear Wu Ji supplementing Official Zhang’s military garrisons. Fu Yao enters Wu Ji’s quarters dressed as a eunuch to try and get the Mystic Spirit Leaf. Assassins attack Wu Ji, making Qi Zhen suspicious that it was planned by Wu Ji to get rid of Qi Zhen’s palace guard spies. Worried her disguise might be compromised by a mirror that Gao Pu Ruo wants, Fu Yao enters the Dense Beam Palace Hall to shatter it, but is captured and kept prisoner. Zong Yue realizes Qi Yun must be using the Dragon Scale Armor. Yun Hen struggles with loyalty between his blood family and his adopted family.
Episode 22: Legend of Fu Yao Episode 22
Fu Yao has been missing for 2 days, so Wu Ji sends Yuan Bao to find her. Wu Ji rescues Fu Yao from Princess Xuan Yuan Xiao, whose body is trapped under the Firmament Imprisonment Technique. Fu Yao’s spiritual energy degrades without the Earth Absorbing Bell, so Wu Ji endures injuries from Yuan Xiao, to retrieve it from her. She runs into Jing Chen, who recognizes her despite her disguise, and she makes it clear she no longer has feelings for him.
