Oh Ha Ni is a clumsy high school student who falls for perfectionist Baek Seung Jo. However, Seung Jo is indifferent towards her and rejects her love. When Ha Ni's house collapses, she and her father move into his long-time friend's house. As fate would have it, Seung Jo turns out to be the best friend's eldest son, and Ha Ni is given the opportunity to be near the boy she loves. Will she be able to move Seung Jo's heart? Episode 1: Playful Kiss Episode 1
Oh Ha Ni is a girl who lacks in academics and always has her heads in the clouds, gives a letter to the school genius Baek Seung Jo, confessing her feelings. He publicly humiliates her by giving back her love letter edited, and states he hates dumb girls. He bets if she can get into the top 50 for test scorers he will give her a piggyback. Fate would have it, Ha Ni's house collapses and they move into her father's friends house which so happens to be Seung Jo.
Episode 2: Playful Kiss Episode 2
Ha Ni struggles to keep her living arrangment a secret when Joon Gu who likes Ha Ni tries to follow her home. More problems stir when she is in over her head with studying and blackmails Seung Jo with childhood photos to help her with the bet terms becoming void. She is successful is making the top 50, and everyone demands that he carry her because they are not aware of the situation.
Episode 3: Playful Kiss Episode 3
Ha Ni finally makes it into the Study Hall, but doesn't fit in. A physical tournament against class 1 and class 7 has bets flying around the class7 can win all 3 events. They lose the last events because of Ha Ni mistake. Secrets are being revealed, when one night Oh Ha Ni is drunk and say she hates Seung Jo, but then he tells the family about her confession. As well, a picture goes around school of them asleep causing everyone to find our they live together.

Due to Geum Hee's picture of Seung Jo and Ha Ni asleep, the whole school finds out the two are living together

Ha Ni is surprised with Seung Jo's sudden actions, and runs out in embarrassment.

Ha Ni is tormented over the fact that she believes that Seung Jo wasn't able to go to the Tae San University interviews because of her accident.

Ha Ni can't help but feel upset with the way Seung Jo introduces her.
