Yoshiyama Mihane is a 3rd-grade high school student. She is a member of the photo club at her school. The day before her summer vacation, she smells a lavender scent in the science lab and she suddenly gains the ability to leap through time. Fukamachi Shohei is Mihane’s classmate. He actually came from the year 2122 and is a researcher. Shohei lost a drug that allows him to go back to 2122. In the meantime, Shohei hypnotizes those around him and lives as a high school student. However, as time goes by, Mihane and Shohei start to have feelings for each other. ~~ Adapted from the novel "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" (時をかける少女) by Yasutaka Tsutsui (筒井 康隆).
Episode 1: Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo Episode 1
Shohei one of the visitors from the future gets stuck in the present time and goes undercover in a high school. He manipulates the memories of every person around him into believing he is a fellow classmate, son and friend. Miharu and Gore best friends since childhood also believe they've always been three instead of 2. This way Shohei wants to spend his time in the present peacefully. He enjoys experiencing the way of living 'back then' all the while experimenting on the drug that should bring him back to his time. Things start to get complicated at the end of the episode when Shohei starts falling for Miharu after been rescued by her and gets in the way of Goro who also has a crush on her.
Episode 2: Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo Episode 2
This episode is about Miharu learning that her ability isn't really a gift. After a classmate tells her that he has received a heart from a donor wich saved his life, Miharu is eager to find out what kind of person the girl was. She travels in time and learns the circumstances of her death. Even thought she really wants to save her, she knows it is not the right thing to do and so Miharu is forced to let the girl go home knowing she'll never arrive. Meanwhile Shohei is eager to find out how kissing someone feels and surprises Miharu with it.
