Shiraiwa Yoshio is dumped by his wife and goes back to his hometown of Hakodate. He then enrolls at a vocational school, while receiving unemployment payments. At the vocational school, he meets Daishima Kazuhisa. One day, Kazuhisa takes him to a cabaret. There, Yoshio meets a hostess, Tamura Satoshi. She possesses something different from other people. Satoshi and Yoshio become close. ~~ Adapted from the novel by Yasushi Satô (his last installment in the “Hakodate trilogy”). Inspired by his hometown of Hakodate, Hokaido in northern Japan.
