10 years ago in the town of An Yang, the origin of Yuan Wu Dao martial arts, world champion Qu Xiang Nan was accused of doping and his prestigious title was stripped. He became a disgrace to the town and tarnished their name in the arts of Yuan Wu Dao. The story of Tornado Girl is set in the present and revolves around his adopted daughter and student Qi Bai Cao in her journey of becoming a true Yuan Wu Dao martial artist, fighting her way to the top and reclaiming her Teacher's innocence. Along the way she encounters friends such as her stoic and selfless Yuan Wu Dao senior Ruo Bai, the warm and caring but mysteriously secluded medic Yu Chu Yuan, and the flirtatious, playful Fang Ting Hao with a hidden agenda. Episode 1: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 1
Bai Cao is forced out of Quan Sheng Hall when a recording of her exposing her hall's attempts to cheat during the Yuan Wu Dao performance falls in the hands of a media reporter.
Episode 2: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 2
Bai Cao moves into Xiao Ying's home at Song Bai Hall. There, she runs into Xiu Da whom she had offended in the past and gets injured when he attacks her.
Episode 3: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 3
Chang Hai Martial Arts Hall sends 18 of their young martial artists from Korea to An Yang to visit Xian Wu and Song Bai Martial Arts Hall. Among them is Kim Min Joo who immediately stirs up trouble at both Quan Sheng and Song Bai Hall.
Episode 4: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 4
Bai Cao begins formally training Yuan Wu Dao at Song Bai Hall. With the Hall Challenge Match approaching, Song Bai's martial artists hold an internal competition to decide the 3 representatives to participate.
Episode 5: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 5
Despite emerging victorious in Song Bai Hall's internal competition, Ruo Bai decides that Xiu Qin would be a better female representative for Song Bai Hall at the Hall Challenge Match instead of Bai Cao. Unable to accept his decision, Bai Cao demands to know the reason why she was passed over.
Episode 6: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 6
Bai Cao immerses herself in a Yuan Wu Dao instruction book written by the legendary Li Yun Yue. Ting Hao challenges Chu Yuan to participate in Hall Challenge Match to avenge his mother's accident.
Episode 7: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 7
Bai Cao struggles to analyze the momentum and patterns of her opponents in order to help identify the kind of stance to overpower each one. Running into Ting Hao yet again, Bai Cao tries to shrug him off only to end up having a very costly meal with him.
Episode 8: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 8
Just before the competition, Xiu Qin gets in an accident injuring her leg badly, and unable to compete. Bai Cao takes Xiu Qin's place in the Hall Challenge Match, going against black belt Mei Ling from Jiang Bei Hall.
Episode 9: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 9
Bai Cao stumbles through the first 2 rounds of her match with Mei Ling but surprises everyone with her performance in the last round. Xiao Ying tries to find an opportunity to fix up Bai Cao with Chu Yuan, while Ting Hao gets on Bai Cao's bad side after she catches him in yet another lie.
Episode 10: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 10
Determined to make Bai Cao his girlfriend, Ting Hao showers her with multiple grand gestures. Bai Cao however, is convinced he is trying to play a prank on her while she continues to fall for Chu Yuan.
Episode 11: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 11
For their next match, Song Bai Hall is to go up against Tian Shi Hall, where Bai Cao, will go up against an extremely strong contender, Lin Feng, known by her nickname, Rubber Ball, and her controversial figure.
Episode 12: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 12
Song Bai Hall go out for a victory dinner where things heat up between Ruo Bai and Bai Cao. Ting Hao vents his anger out on Chu Yuan by attacking him after seeing him and Ting Yi together at a restaurant. Ruo Bai and Bai Cao prepare to go up against Ting Hao and Ting Yi respectively in their next match up.
Episode 13: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 13
Bai Cao faces off with a very angry Ting Yi in the semifinals, where her Master, Qu Xiang Nan, makes an appearance. Ruo Bai opens up about the past that fueled his desire to restore Song Bai's honor, while Bai Cao helps get back on his feet.
Episode 14: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 14
Holding the opportunity to include Song Bai's martial artists in Shen Ning's mentorship program hostage, Ting Hao formally challenges Chu Yuan yet again. In an attempt to protect Chu Yuan, Bai Cao goes to see Ting Hao instead.
Episode 15: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 15
Chu Yuan gets accepted to a 1-year medical program which specializes in treating comatose patients in USA. Hearing this, Ting Yi decides to follow him there to study abroad and protect what is hers, making sure to crush whatever hopes and feelings Bai Cao harbors for Chu Yuan.
Episode 16: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 16
Bai Cao gets accepted into Shen Ning's specialized 3-year training program. Two years have passed and she skyrockets through the ranks of multiple competitions across the country, with Ruo Bai by her side all this while.
Episode 17: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 17
Ting Hao claims the favor Bai Cao promised him by asking her to pose as his girlfriend to visit his grandfather with him at his 70th birthday party. Ting Yi returns from USA and takes her place in Shen Ning's training program alongside with the rest.
Episode 18: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 18
Chu Yuan returns to An Yang and tries to meet up with Bai Cao, but the two do not reunite as Ting Yi continues to create misunderstandings between them. As Bai Cao's birthday approaches, the people around her start making preparations.
Episode 19: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 19
Chu Yuan makes clear to Ting Yi that he will only ever see her as a younger sister. Ting Yi and Bai Cao showdown in a friendly competition where Ting Yi brings in a slew of reporters and media in an attempt to throw Bai Cao off balance.
Episode 20: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 20
Bai Cao and Ting Yi's match go underway where Bai Cao reveals her secret move and the match ends with an unexpected result. Shen Ning announces that another match will be held to decide who she will pick to compete in the Yuan Wu Dao International City Youth Competition.
Episode 21: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 21
Bai Cao and Xiao Ying struggle with their Advanced Math as the examinations are around the corner. During this time, Ruo Bai takes a mysterious leave of absence and decides to forfeit his spot at the training program in Korea, leaving Bai Cao and Xiao Ying very worried about his welfare.
Episode 22: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 22
The Korean training camp hosted by Chang Hai Martial Hall in Seoul begins, where Bai Cao bumps into a very vengeful Jin Min Zhu again. Bai Cao must now do her very best to attain the Most Outstanding Camper award for a chance to compete with Yi Ting again and ultimately participate in the Yuan Wu Dao International City Youth Competition.
Episode 23: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 23
Bai Cao loses her way after chasing down a thief through the streets in Seoul, and reunites with the others with the help of Ting Hao. Ruo Bai realizes the reason Bai Cao wears the hairpin he bought her so often is because she thinks Chu Yuan was the one who gifted it to her.
Episode 24: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 24
Bai Cao challenges Jin Yi Shan in exchange for an apology for her mentor, Xiang Nan. The same day, Bai Cao finally learns the truth behind Xiang Nan's duping scandal from 10 years ago.
Episode 25: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 25
Minutes prior to her match against Min Zhu, Bai Cao disappears to get her hands on some medication for Ruo Bai who's sick. Ruo Bai insists on continuing with his match against Sheng Hao even though he is no condition to fight.
Episode 26: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 26
Upset that she would so easily choose to give up on Yuan Wu Dao, Ruo Bai continues to push Bai Cao away. Bai Cao continues to worry about Ruo Bai as his fever does not break and takes care of him through the night. Min Zhu enlists the help of En Xiu to go up against Bai Cao.

Xiang Nan arrives to Korea with the assistance of Ting Hao to tell his truth. The Chinese team plunge into archives of the past to help find evidence to clear Xiang Nan's name.
Episode 28: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 28
As the final round of the Most Outstanding Camper match begins, the Ruo Bai, Fang Hao and Chu Yuan desperately try to locate Pu Dong Yuan in order to vouch for Xiang Nan's innocent all those years ago.
Episode 29: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 29
As Bai Cao cinches the Most Outstanding Camper award, Chu Yuan brings up his feelings for her again. Bai Cao however is confused about the sincerity of his feelings as they witness Chu Yuan and En Xiu cozying up.
Episode 30: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 30
Chu Yuan tells Bai Cao the true reason he actually left the world of Yuan Wu Dao. As a reward for attaining the Most Outstanding Camper, Bai Cao is allowed to train under the elusive Master Yun Yue for a day.
Episode 31: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 31
Chu Yuan and Bai Cao spend the day at the amusement park together, just before they have to return to An Yang. Meanwhile, Ruo Bai's heart continues to deteriorate and Ting Hao brings him to see a specialist about his condition. Tensions rise at a party where all the students are in attendance.
Episode 32: The Whirlwind Girl Episode 32
Chu Yuan learns of all the things Ruo Bai has been silently doing for Bai Cao all this time. Bai Cao and Ruo Bai finally work out their feelings harbored for each other.
