Genius profiler Lee Hyun, returns home to Korea after something from a case he’s been sent triggers a memory he thought he’d lost forever. Unbeknownst to him, one of his team members, Detective Cha Ji An, has been investigating him for some time. Episode 1: Hello Monster Episode 1
Lee Hyun receives an email from someone, who claims to be from the police department, asking for help with a case. He went straight to the crime scene and met with Team 1, who confuses him with the new Team Leader, Kang Eun Hyuk. Cha Ji An, who has been stalking him, recognizes him right away that he is Lee Hyun. Lee Hyun's dad thinks that he's a monster and is afraid that he would become someone like Joon Young when he grows up. So he decides to isolate Lee Hyun from the world. Joon Young manages to escape from prison and goes to Lee Hyun's house to kill his father and Lee Hyun loses a part of his memory about that night. Ji An races to the next target location of the killer and managed to save the next victim. Lee Hyun helps the team by interrogating the suspect in his own sneaky way by pretending to be a rookie and hit the suspect's nerves until he confessed his crime. However, the interrogation was interrupted with Attorney Jung's sudden appearance. After Yang Seung Hoon is arrested in China due to Lee Hyun's tricks, Ji An confronts Lee Hyun, but her attempts backfires when she arrived at his home without getting his correct address. Lee Hyun questions Ji An about who she really is and how does she know a lot about him. Team Leader and Planning Officer is being called to the Deputy Chief's office for mishandling the case and Deputy Chief is getting Ji An transferred to another team and off the case. Detective Yang, Lee Hyun's dad ex-colleague calls him telling that he had an information about Joon Young that he want to tell him but when Lee Hyun arrives, Detective Yang was murdered and he becomes a suspect. Lee Hyun confronts Shin Jang Ho about Park Young Chul’s case and learns about Lee Joon Young’s involvement in many murder cases without bodies. Another murder case occurs and the suspect turns out to be Lee Jeong Ha, the young man who comes to Lee Hyun and asks him if a murderer’s son would also become a murderer. Upon the reunion, Ji An shows her haul to Lee Hyun but Joon Ho seems to be unconcerned with what's happening. Hyun realizes that all the cards that Min sent were scenes from the day their mother passed away. In his flashback, Hyun learns that he killed someone in the act of self-defence.
