Han Qi Luo, a shy art student, meets popular playboy Chen Ling when he asks her for directions to a hospital. She hurriedly draws a map on the back of one of her sketches, unknowingly catching his attention with the drawing of a mother and child. After Chen Ling saves Qi Luo from a teacher’s harassment, they begin to grow closer, but both have pasts they must confront before they can fully accept and love each other. Episode 1: Mars Episode 1
Han Qi Lou a timid shy art student gives directions to Chen Ling, a popular playboy when he is looking for the hospital where his friend who had a motorcycle accident is staying. Qi Lou quickly starches a map without realizing it was on her sketch of a mother holding a baby. When Ling notices that picture he is moved and he realizes that they go to the same school and tries to talk to her. This is a challenge because she has a phobia of men. One day, Qi Lou English teacher Mr. Lang sexually harasses her you start to see about her past of being raped which explains her behaviour. The teachers plans are thwarted when Ling comes to her rescue.
Episode 2: Mars Episode 2
Ling has a troubled pass that causes him to get anxiety attacks when he looks in the mirror, it was so bad that he was at a psychiatric hospital for some time, however when he was having one of his 'episodes' the picture that Qi Lou drew comforts him. When Qi Lou finds out how much it means to him she offer him the oil painting of the picture when it is finished, he agrees for in exchange if he will model for her and will protect her. This causes him to make Mr. Lang true character known and eventually Mr. Lang quits from the school. However, Ling and Qi Lou closeness gets noticed and causes people to get jealous like Da Ye, Ling's best friend you has liked Qi Lou since high school, and Qing Mei, Ling's ex girlfriend who starts to bully Qi Lou.
Episode 3: Mars Episode 3
Qing Mei bullying gets noticed by Ling and find out it is because he treat Qi Lou special. I order to protect Qi Lou he tries to set her up with Da Ye who he already knows likes Qi Lou. However, this doesn't stop Qing Mei because she sees that Ling truly likes Qi Lou and vice versa. On one attempt to get Qi Lou to stop meeting Ling she threatens to crush her hand so she can't paint anymore. However, this just causes Qi Lou to admit her feeling for Ling. When Ling confronts Qing Mei she ends up finally realizing that she must give up on him. But, Ling doesn't want to admit that he likes Qi Lou because of with friendship with Da Ye, however, Da Ye can tell also the couples feeling for each other and tell Ling that he is giving up on Qi Lou because she likes Ling.
Episode 4: Mars Episode 4
Ling still can't come to terms with taking Qi Lou away from his best friend so he tries to convince her to give up on him by pursuing other women and showing her his playboy lifestyle. They agree that once he is finished modelling for her painting that they won't have anything to do with each other. During one of the session they meet an upper classmate Cang Ze a well-known art student and he asks Ling to model for him. However, Ling doesn't get any feeling from his painting and refuse. So out of spite, Cang Ze steal the sketch idea of Qi Lou of the mother holding the baby and paint it for a competition and wins. When Ling hears about this he is infuriated and beat up Cang Ze. Older class men from Cang Ze grade try to attack Ling by outnumbering him, but it is soon realized that Ling goes crazy and starts beating his opponent almost to death right in front of Da Ye, and Qi Lou.
Episode 5: Mars Episode 5
Qi Lou starts to get worried for Ling when he doesn't come back to school after his week of suspension is over for fighting at school. Qi Lou decides to go over to Ling's apartment where she find out that he hasn't been coming to school because he has been working to support himself. Qi Lou starts to learn more and more about him as they have their first date; things like his mother died when he was 5 and she was always sick, him and his father don't get along, and he had a younger twin brother that died, as well whenever he see someone commit suicide when has one of his panic attacks and collapsing. This happens when Cang Ze the student who stole Qi Lou painting tries to commit suicide after the pressure about painting get too much, but Ling over comes and ends up stopping Cang Ze from killing himself.
Episode 6: Mars Episode 6
Han Qi Luo meets Ling's friends Zhu Yi and Sha Zhi. Sha Zhi tells Qi Luo about Ling's twin brother Sheng and how he died. Qi Luo also learns about how Ling's brother's death affects him. This helps explains why Ling had passed out in front of Qi Luo twice. Ling and his friends go to Japan to compete in a motorcycle race. Qi Luo can not go to Japan because her mother won't allow her, but she cheers for him in her own way- by painting his portrait.
Episode 7: Mars Episode 7
Ling's race goes well in Japan, although he didn't win. He and Qi Luo are in a relationship. After Qi Luo's portrait of Ling is hung in a gallery, 2 of Ling's high school friends appear. They hadn't known where he was for 2 years. One of these friends was Ling's ex-girlfriend, Sha Yi who had previously dated Ling's dead brother Sheng before dating him. Ling believes he caused his brother to commit suicide after Sha Yi started dating him instead. Qi Luo is faced with the belief that Sha Yi and Ling would have never separated if it wasn't for Sheng's death.
Episode 8: Mars Episode 8
The resurfacing of people from ling's past puts the relationship in danger and allows qiluo to know ling better.
Episode 9: Mars Episode 9
Ling is forced to remember his lost past and facing his truth. Qiluo helps him through it.
Episode 10: Mars Episode 10
Ling is asked to contemplate his relationship with qilluo. Qiluo shows her mars painting at a gallery.
Episode 11: Mars Episode 11
The new student causes turbulence in ling's school life. Ling and qiluo hit a problem with the progress of their relationship.
Episode 12: Mars Episode 12
Ling is fighting hard against all the mind games. Qiluo and ling are doing their best to protect their love and each other.
Episode 13: Mars Episode 13
Tongdao is willing to stop at nothing to get what he wants. Ling starts to think of qiluo's past trauma.
