Phoenix shows you this heaven's work. There is a young couple who desperately fell in love but who couldn't be together because the time wasn't just right for them. Years pass by and these two meet again. And the trick of fortune switches their situation and environments. A daughter of a millionaire (Lee Eun Joo) has now become an helper suffering from the grim realities of life. While driving her luxury car, Ji Eun loses control for a moment and crashes toward a gas station office. All flustered, she doesn’t know what to do. The fire alarm goes off in the office building as Jeong Min hurries in to look for Ji Eun. Due to the fire incident, Jeong Min and Ji Eun are able to become closer. Meanwhile, Se Hoon finds out Mi Ran is responsible for copies of the product circulating before the product launch, which makes him feel conflicted. Both Jeong Min and Ji Eun leave in anger. Even as Mi Ran pleads, Se Hoon tries to leave, but Mi Ran tries to hold on to him even through self-injury. Se Hoon tries to tell Ji Eun that Seolin bought out Shinyoung, her father’s company, in a malicious manner, but she refuses to believe him and thinks he’s acting in jealousy. Tension reaches a high level as Se Hoon stands against Seo Moon Su’s management philosophies and principles and ultimately Jeong Min asks Se Hoon to leave the company. After trying to burn the storage room down so that both of them can die, Mi Ran has become devastated to the point of now turning away from Se Hoon. The love and compassion Ji Eun had for Jeong Min changes into anger. Though the statute of limitations has expired, Ji Eun is determined to find justice and asks Se Hoon for help. Both meet up with Chairman Seo and demand the truth to be revealed. But Chairman Seo fights back, asking what evidence they have. His face filled with despair and anxiety, Jeong Min goes for a drive. Being flustered after seeing Se Hoon reveal another recording device, as a last resort, Jeong Min kidnaps Ji Eun and blackmails Se Hoon. Eventually, Se Hoon gives up the recording to free Ji Eun and then falls into the trap that Chairman Seo and Jeong Min planned in advance as he is arrested on charges of embezzlement and foreign law violation. Se Hoon sees Jeong Min’s car going at a high speed. Having a sense of dread, Se Hoon blocks Jeong Min’s car on the road, preventing his suicide. Having lost everything from a series of events, Se Hoon goes to see Mi Ran. Mi Ran tells Ji Eun she’ll return all of J-River’s (Se Hoon’s company) shares if she breaks off with Se Hoon. Upon seeing Mi Ran’s letter filled with remorse, Ji Eun and Se Hoon hurries over, but finds Mi Ran dead with a smile on her face. After her funeral, Se Hoon is torn upon thinking of Mi Ran as both the happy and troubled times with her keep running through his head.
