This series and our heroine took place in the Joseon Dynasty. Chae Ok was separated from her brother when her father, a nobleman, was accused of treason. She managed to make her way and becomes a Damo, a low ranked woman detective. Skilled in swordplay, she must not only fight crime but face inequality for her status in society. Her brother grew up to be a rebel leader fighting against social injustice, and both brother and sister faced off against each other on the opposite side of the law. Episode 1: Damo Episode 1
Chae Ok solves a murder case. The officers investigate forgery. Chae Ok goes undercover. Sung Baek notices her gender and martial arts ability. A woman and a man steal her bag.
Episode 2: Damo Episode 2
Sung Baek rescues Chae Ok from danger. Commander Hwang Bo shows up late but he tries to protect Chae Ok from Sung Baek. Here is when we learn about Chae Ok's past and how she comes to be with Hwang Bo Yoon. Yoon recalls when he first met Chae Ok. Whang Bo's father sends him off into the deep mountains to train. He trains under the great monk name Su Wol where Jae Hee also trains. Monk Suwol recommends Yoon to captain Sae Uk Cho. Yoon tells Lord Whang that he wants to bring Jae Hee as a damo.
Episode 3: Damo Episode 3
ChaeOk and WonHae attend the funeral of the undercover agent who was found dead. They find clues from his clothes and shoes and head to SamGae. (Source: KOKOWA)
Episode 4: Damo Episode 4
Chae Ok returns her ID and badge, saying that she has caused too much trouble. She regains her responsibility as a damo and arrests them. They use Chuk Ji to infiltrate the forgery gang by throwing him in prison with the suspect, Gak Chul. Chuk Ji Ma and Gak Chul break out of their cells and run into Chae Ok who is waiting for them.
Episode 5: Damo Episode 5
GakChool and MaChuk escape from the prison cell and meet up with ChaeOk waiting outside. SungBak also on the lookout steps in when HwangBo starts to fire on GakChool and MaChuk. (Source: KOKOWA)
